Because my readers and friends mean the world to me, I have decided to turn my weight loss journey into a Science. Yup, I dubbed my journey a science. I am compressing some of my previous blog entries onto this post so everything is lain out directly in front of you. It is up to you to understand, take notes, and build your program to fit your lifestyle.

 1.) Mental Preparation:

If you have a significant amount of weight to lose and find yourself starting and quitting weight loss because you do great for 2 days then quit because it's hard, you need to mentally prepare yourself. I would never recommend anyone jumping right into a full on lifestyle change. Make your change gradual and prepare yourself for your journey, because guess what? It is NOT EASY and if you are looking for an easy way out, than this is not for you. Acknowledge and understand that you are responsible, that you will push yourself, hold yourself accountable, and will make yourself a better person.
2.) Documentation:

I recommend everyone documenting their work out's and nutrition, as well as their journey. Keeping a Weight Loss Journal is a great way to do this. This allows you to see the changes in your weight, measurements, see your strength increase, as well as channel your emotions. You can write about a bad day at work you had and how you over came it, how irritated you were with your eating, how well you fought a craving, or anything!
3.) Nutrition:

Nutrition is going to play the biggest part in helping you lose weight and get healthy. It is absolutely essential to know what you should eat in order to maximize the results of your journey.
4.) Fitness:

This is about absolute favorite part of losing weight. I love to work out and it is easily my favorite hobby. Nutrition will help the weight fall off, but you need to tone and define your body -- working out will do this. Along with weight loss, working out strengthens bones and the heart, boosts metabolism, and makes everyday tasks easier.
5.) Self-Therapy:

To me, this aspect of your journey is so important. This journey gets hard, exhausting, frustrating, but it so rewarding. At times you are going to feel like giving up. But you can't. It is important to give yourself breaks, get out your frustrations, and know that you are not alone. I like to post motivational blogs to give you that extra boost you may need for your work out, grilled chicken and broccoli, or the terrible day you had at work. A lot of times when we have a bad day at school, work, or feeling ugly, going through a terrible break-up, etc. the first thing we want to let go of is our weight loss journey. Because that is just another stressor in our life. But you cannot look at it like that. Whenever you need an extra boost of light in your life, give yourself some self-medication. If you like to draw, write, read, dance, or perhaps, read some of my blog entries. :)
