New design, new blog, and changes!

It is time to update my blog, finally! Life has been crazy busy with one change after another constantly! I love it though and would not have it any other way. I am finally getting used to my life being full of change. It helps me become a stronger person.

I have decided to not just make my blogs about Fitness training, but about my life as well. Being 21 years old, single, living on my own and trying to balance a social life and career. It gets hard at times, but I am finding secrets, suggestions, and tips to help better myself and enable a stable life. I want to share all of that! From recipes for healthy food, to quick work out tips, to financial planning and saving - I want to share what I learn! I hope to help other people out as well as continue learning myself.

Lately besides (as always) training hard at the gym and trying to keep my eating 90% clean (I hate the word diet) there has been one thing on my mind: MY CAREER. I am always thinking about it. I'm always striving to take the next step, weigh my options, education, etc. Thankfully, there seem to be a lot of opportunities that could be happening! Keep your fingers crossed for me. Once I get established in my career, I feel like the rest will come together. Never I have yearned so much to be very successfully at whatever I do. I know that is a good thing but it gets very stressful and disappointing when I do not feel I am where I should be. It may be crazy to be 21 years old and be so focused on building a huge career but when should we start? Everyone says: "You're still so young, don't worry so much", but you should! I do not want to be middle aged and not be on a good solid path. That has been a major focus of mine and what I have been spending a lot of time on.

Training has been fantastic. I am so happy for the most part. The only part of my body that is driving me nuts is my lower stomach. Most women can understand. It is one of the most stubborn parts of the body. Once I start seeing steady results there I feel like the rest will be a breeze. I am still up on my cardio, everyday. The StairMaster keeps me dying, and the endurance training on the Elliptical feels great, and my quads are always screaming when I cycle. I am not Interval training as much as I should be on the tredmill. Admittedly, I hate it! Friday I am forcing myself to do it. It really is a GREAT calorie and fat burning work out. My shoulders are REALLY sculpting! That is something I have never seen before but it is so sexy! Who would have thought extremely tone shoulders would be such a great asset to possess but I am loving it! I have been slacking on my morning cardio but I am not really complaining. My body is tired. I do it when I can. I haven't take a day off from the gym in 8 days. After today's work out I am going to do morning cardio tomorrow then taking tomorrow evening off.

This past weekend was awesome. I had a 4-day vacation from work. Though I kept up with my training 100%, my diet not so much (I need therapy, lol). Thursday night my friend Brooke and I went to the Epicentre in Uptown Charlotte to this fabulous Sushi place called "Enso". Oh my gosh - it was delicious. I don't like Sushi but I had this mushroom thing with some kind of noddle shell around it (I have no idea what it was but it was amazing!). Friday my friend Gigi took me to this beyond fancy restaurant near Lake Norman called "Alton's Kitchen". The steak was to die for and we even had dessert. The Red Velvet cake was amazing but after a few bites you had enough, it was very sweet. Saturday I went to Greensboro and met my best friend Jennifer for lunch. She is about to have a baby and it makes me want to cry! She and I have been through so much and now we're all grown up! It's so sweet! My grandmother surprised me with winter shopping afterwards and spoiled me like crazy :) I got this beautiful fur coat with diamonds on it and a bunch of other stuff. Lots of winter boots, sweaters, etc. Bring on the cold weather! She even called me yesterday saying she *had* to get me this other coat she found that was "so sexy". It will be in the mail tomorrow, can't wait to see it! She told me it's leopard print and fur. Sounds fabulous to me! After shopping all afternoon and my grandparents took me to a delicious Italian dinner. I love going out with them. They instill so much drive for the future in me and really want me to work hard and be successful. It is refreshing to get advice and guidance from them. Sunday morning I got to see my best friend Anna and have breakfast with her then came back to Charlotte and took my friend Leah out for her birthday. Monday I finally had to rest a little, catch up on my cleaning, and of course - trained hard. It was such a fun, non-stop weekend of friends and family. What more could a girl ask for!

Tonight's training: 20 minute fat-burning work out on the StairMaster, full upper-body weight circuit, 10 minutes on the Elliptical (heartrate at 83%), followed by heavy stretching and some core work.
